AFROMOSIA TEAK Coat & HAT RACK
British, c1960s. A super stylish piece of simple design by John Herbert for the well known British manufacturer A. Younger Ltd. Typical of many Younger pieces this coat and hat rack is made from a solid afromosia teak frame with contrasting beech for the coat shelf. Younger made a series of very high quality Danish inspired ranges which retailed in the likes of Harrods & Heal’s. Unlike many producers of the time they frequently produced in solid as opposed to veneer teak. As such pieces were often more pricey than their equivalents, less were sold and subsequently they are rarer to find today.
Measures; 61cm wide x 21cm length x 19cm high
In excellent condition. This piece has simply had a clean and fresh danish oil for added protection. There is no damage of note
