OAK CHEST OF DRAWERS
British, c1960s. Quality chest of 6 drawers by husband & wife design duo John & Sylvia Reid. The main shell of the drawers is solid wood, finished in a striking oak while the drawer fronts have stand out brass finish handles. One of the smaller drawers has partitions which can easily be removed if required.
Measures 76cm wide x 120cm high x 43cm deep.
In very good condition with very little wear and tear consistent with age. There is some light dappling patina to the handles and a small scuff to the lower right side. One of the thin drawers has some marks inside. Please see photos.
The main body has been delicately refinished by hand with a light hand sand. The ageing varnish has been removed and followed up with Danish oil and a beeswax polish.
