WALNUT & TEAK CHEST OF DRAWERS
British, c1960s. Increasingly rare to see quality chest of 6 drawers by husband & wife design duo John & Sylvia Reid. The main shell of the drawers is solid wood finished in a striking walnut with incredible grain pattern while the drawer fronts are a teak with stand out brass handles.
Measures 76cm wide x 120cm high x 43cm deep.
In excellent condition with very, very low lever wear and tear consistent with age. No chips splits or scratches of note. There is some light dappling patina to the brass handles and a very tiny dent to the 2nd drawer from the bottom. Please see photos.
The main body has been delicately refinished by hand with a very light hand sand. The ageing varnish has been removed and followed up with a Danish oil and then polished.
