ROCKING CHAIR FOR FARSTRUP MOBLER
Denmark, c1960s. A beautiful rocking chair by well known Danish maker Farstrup Mobler. Similar but not to be mistaken for more common Ercol rocking chairs of a similar design. Constructed in beech with a teak seat. The grain pattern around the side of the seat is pretty & unique.
Typically these chairs were lacquered in black on the spindles & arms while the seat had a clear varnish. This is the rarer blonde version which had a clear varnish throughout and is now in excellent refinished condition. The ageing varnish has been removed to expose the stunning natural wood, then waxed and polished.

The chair is very comfortable with it’s wide seat and in super condition; There is a curve to one of the central spindles however this is not split or broken just a natural bend.
