ARNE WAHL IVERSEN ST 750 ‘OVAL CHAIR’

c1960s. Denmark. An exceptionally rare piece known as the ‘Oval chair’ by well know Scandinavian Mid Century designer Arne Wahl Iversen manufactured by Aage Petersen of Copenhagen. Unusually this chair is made from a teak frame but with solid elm back and armrest giving a beautifully aesthetic curve. Impressive and intricate joinery detail to the frame. This piece has been reupholstered in high quality Warwick Amatheon ‘Chartreuse’ wool blend fabric.
Measures 77cm high x 55cm wide x 50cm deep. Seat Height 44cm
The chair is in super condition. No chips or splits and solid on its legs. It has had a gentle clean then a fresh Danish oil and polish for protection.
Would make an excellent desk of occasional chair in a bedroom or study.
