MODEL 89 DINING CHAIRS

Danish, c1960s. Stunning Mid Century 'Model 89' dining chairs by Danish Designer Erik Buch. The frames are a top quality solid 'sapele' teak, which was employed by high end Danish furniture makers due to it's stronger & more elegant grain pattern than other teak wood. It has very similar qualities to rosewood, and in fact these chairs are often mistaken for being made from rosewood.

Unusually, the chairs come complete with their original oatmeal wool upholstery which is in excellent condition. When these chairs were sourced from the original owner they had been covered for many years with another fabric on top, which explain why these are in an almost new state. The foam on all seats and back is in tact with no bumps or perishing.

Each chair measures 80cm High x 49cm Wide x 54cm Deep, and seat height is 46cm.

The frames have all been refinished and multiple coats of danish oil applied to bring out the grain and protect them for the future. There are no chips, splits, cracks, etc.
